Our head office is in Thane district
Ujjwal Engineers & Environmental Services operates from Ambernath (East), Dist. Thane. Being based inside the district we serve means site visits, sampling rounds and follow-up with the regional office are routine rather than an expedition - which matters more than it sounds when a consent query has a fourteen-day response window.
The Thane industrial belt we work in
Thane district carries one of Maharashtra's densest concentrations of chemical, engineering and processing units. Our work is spread across the Ambernath, Badlapur, Dombivli, Kalyan and Bhiwandi industrial areas, much of it within MIDC estates.
Two characteristics of this belt shape most of the compliance work here. First, a high proportion of Red category units, which means shorter consent validity and closer scrutiny. Second, industrial areas that now sit alongside residential development that arrived later - so odour, noise and effluent complaints turn into inspections faster than they would elsewhere.
Working with MPCB
Units in Thane fall under the Maharashtra Pollution Control Board (MPCB). Consents under the Water Act, 1974 and the Air Act, 1981 are issued through MPCB's regional and sub-regional offices, and its procedures, portal and timelines differ from Gujarat's. We handle MPCB applications, renewals, amendments and inspection responses regularly, and also work with GPCB in Gujarat for clients operating in both states.

NABL water and air testing without the subcontracting delay
Our NABL-accredited laboratory handles water, effluent, ambient air, stack, noise and soil analysis in-house. Where monitoring is subcontracted, schedules slip and data quality varies - and monitoring gaps are the one audit finding that cannot be corrected retrospectively.
